1. Introduction
NextHit respects intellectual‑property rights and expects its users to do the same. If you believe that material available via the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA notice pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512.
2. Copyright‑Infringement Notification
2.1 Required Information
Your takedown notice must include the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list);

3. Counter‑Notification Procedure
If your content was removed (or access disabled) pursuant to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter‑notification.
3.1 Required Information
The counter‑notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the removed material and its original location before removal;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good‑faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, phone number, and e‑mail address;
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal court for the judicial district of your address, or if outside the U.S., the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice or that person's agent.

4. Action on Notifications
4.1 Initial Response
- We acknowledge receipt of complete DMCA notices within 24 hours.
- We aim to review, validate, and act on the claim within 2–3 business days.
4.2 Content Removal / Restoration
- If the claim is valid, the allegedly infringing material will be removed or access disabled promptly.
- We will notify the affected user of the action taken and provide a copy of the notice.
- If a valid counter‑notification is received, we will forward it to the original claimant and restore the content within 10–14 days unless we receive notice of a court action seeking to restrain the user.
5. Repeat‑Infringer Policy
5.1 Strike System
- First violation: Written warning;
- Second violation: Temporary suspension of account functions;
- Third violation: Account termination and permanent ban.
5.2 Account Reinstatement
Terminated users may submit an appeal to support (at) nexthit (dot) co, outlining corrective measures. Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days.
6. Audio‑Content Guidelines
6.1 Prohibited Content
- Unauthorized covers, remixes, or mash‑ups;
- Unlicensed or uncleared samples;
- Audio, artwork, or metadata that infringes third‑party rights.
6.2 Content Verification
- Users must verify they hold necessary rights before uploading.
- We reserve the right to request proof of ownership or clearance documentation.
- Failure to provide adequate proof may result in removal or account action.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this DMCA Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to nexthit.co/dmca-policy. We will indicate the "Effective Date" at the top of the Policy.
